Description
The STABILIZER® BP Coronary Guidewire is engineered as a versatile workhorse guidewire for routine coronary interventions. Designed with medium support characteristics, it offers an optimal balance between flexibility and support, allowing reliable navigation through tortuous coronary anatomy while maintaining sufficient pushability for device delivery.
The guidewire features a PTFE/Duraglide low-friction coating, which significantly reduces resistance during advancement through guiding catheters, microcatheters, balloon catheters, and stent delivery systems. This hydrophobic coating improves device trackability and enhances the overall efficiency of PCI procedures.
A 3 cm radiopaque distal segment ensures excellent fluoroscopic visibility, enabling interventional cardiologists to accurately track the wire position during lesion crossing and device placement.
The STABILIZER® BP guidewire is offered with two distal tip stiffness options:
- Super Soft Tip – optimized for highly tortuous vessels and atraumatic vessel navigation
- Soft Tip – provides slightly increased support for improved device tracking and stability
These options allow physicians to select the most appropriate configuration depending on lesion complexity and vessel anatomy.
Typical clinical applications include:
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Balloon angioplasty procedures
- Crossing coronary stenotic lesions
- Guiding stent delivery systems
- Diagnostic coronary catheterization
The guidewire is available in 180 cm and 300 cm lengths, with straight and J-shaped tip configurations, providing flexibility for different procedural techniques and physician preferences.
