Description
The GUIDEZILLA II Guide Extension Catheter is an advanced rapid-exchange device developed to enhance support and device deliverability during complex coronary interventions. Acting as an extension of the primary guiding catheter, it enables easier navigation and controlled advancement of interventional devices deep into the vascular system.
With a total length of 150 cm, the catheter consists of a single-lumen distal guiding segment with a hydrophilic coating, seamlessly connected to a proximal stainless-steel shaft that provides excellent pushability and structural stability. This hybrid construction ensures optimal balance between flexibility and support during challenging procedures.
The distal guiding segment is equipped with a platinum–iridium radiopaque marker band positioned 2 mm from the distal tip, allowing precise fluoroscopic visualization. A proximal platinum–iridium radiopaque collar further enhances visibility and positioning accuracy. Additionally, the proximal shaft includes two positioning markers located at 90 cm and 100 cm from the distal tip, assisting operators in depth control and catheter placement.
A dedicated proximal handle enables quick identification of the device and improves handling efficiency in the catheterization laboratory. GUIDEZILLA II is compatible with multiple guiding catheter sizes, making it a versatile solution for demanding coronary procedures requiring increased backup support and device delivery precision.
