Description
The ADROIT™ Extra Back-Up LAD (XBLAD) Guiding Catheter is optimized for percutaneous coronary interventions involving the left anterior descending artery (LAD). The specialized XBLAD curve provides enhanced guide support, allowing physicians to safely deliver balloons, stents, and other interventional devices in challenging coronary anatomies.
The 6F catheter configuration provides a large internal lumen of 0.072”, enabling improved compatibility with a wide range of PCI devices and facilitating smooth device advancement.
For procedures requiring a smaller access profile, the 5F version features a 0.058” internal lumen, making it well suited for transradial access procedures while still providing adequate back-up support.
The catheter integrates TRUELUMEN™ technology, which ensures a consistent internal lumen from hub to distal tip, improving device deliverability and reducing resistance during interventions.
The PTFE inner coating minimizes friction, allowing smooth passage of balloons, stents, and guidewires.
The hybrid braided shaft construction provides the optimal balance between flexibility and strong support, enabling the catheter to navigate tortuous coronary anatomy while maintaining the stability required for device deployment.
The Extra Back-Up LAD (XBLAD) configuration is commonly used in:
- Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Left anterior descending artery interventions
- Complex coronary lesion treatment
- Balloon angioplasty
- Coronary stent delivery
- Advanced interventional cardiology procedures
Multiple configurations are available, including side-hole versions, which help maintain coronary perfusion during prolonged procedures.
